Dear Dance Enthusiasts,

It has been an exciting start to the new year, and Dance Tampa Bay has been hard at work, forging partnerships and creating opportunities for our vibrant artistic community. We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Florida Blue, an endeavor aimed at bringing affordable healthcare to our members and the broader community. With premiums starting as low as $35 a month, Florida Blue is committed to tailoring health services to your needs, emphasizing preventive medicine to ensure that you can continue to thrive in the field of dance and beyond. Whether you are part of a studio, educational facility, or company, Florida Blue is ready to educate and facilitate the acquisition of the best insurance for you and your colleagues. Education is key, and a robust healthcare system is vital to professional success in our field. We will soon announce our next Town Hall, set to be hosted in May at the Florida Blue Center (Westshore). We invite you to join us to learn more about this exciting partnership, or feel free to email me directly at [email protected] for further information. In other exhilarating news, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Gasparilla International Film Festival for the opportunity to premiere “Dance Rising Tampa Bay” and “Dance Rising – The Power of Water.” It was an exceptional evening filled with mesmerizing performances by the USF Dance Department, Break the Mould, Erica Holland, and the Tampa City Ballet, all of whom brought world-class art to those who know and love dance. Congratulations are in order for Heidi Marks, the recipient of the first Dance Tampa Bay Icon Award for Film and Dance, honoring her role as Creative Producer for the Dance Rising Tampa Bay film series. The evening concluded with a thought-provoking Q&A session from the creative team, offering insights and inspiration. As we look ahead, stay tuned for our next Call to Artists for Dance Rising Tampa Bay. Our upcoming film will feature strong beats perfect for Hip Hop, Jazz, Petit Allegro, Tap, Bollywood, or any form of dance you wish to share. The sky’s the limit! We are on the hunt for industrial settings, murals, and a touch of grit to create something truly spectacular. Warm regards, Sincerely yours,

Shana Corrada

Executive Directer, Dance Tampa Bay
