Dance Tampa Bay Presents “The Power of Water” at
Gasparilla International Film Festival, Ferman Center for the Arts, UT Campus
Tampa Bay, FL—Dance Tampa Bay and Mad Bear Productions are thrilled to announce the
world premiere of “The Power of Water,” a groundbreaking dance film starring an extraordinary
team of artists. This captivating experience will debut at the prestigious Gasparilla International
Film Festival on March 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. We can’t wait to share this exciting
moment with you.
“The Power of Water” features an original score by acclaimed composer Nick Ewing and the
soulful vocals of Fred Johnson, creating an immersive journey through the beauty and force of
water. The event promises an evening of artistic brilliance, beginning with a red-carpet reception
offering hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
Attendees will be treated to live performances by Tampa City Ballet, the dynamic Break the
Mould, and the exquisite ballroom duo Erica Holland and John Hart, setting the stage for a night
of unforgettable artistry.
The premiere will showcase two films that delve into the themes of Tampa Iconic locations, and
water’s transformative power and its vital role in our lives. Following the screenings, guests will
have the unique opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the artists, offering insights into
the creative process behind this ambitious project. This interactive element promises to make
the event even more engaging and memorable.
