The National Ballet of Ukraine from the Taras Shevchenko National Opera and Ballet Theatre debuts its US tour, performing across the East Coast in October 2024. This is their first US tour since Ukraine’s independence in 1991, officially endorsed by the Ukrainian government. American audiences can experience this world-class ballet company directly from Kyiv. The production celebrates Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage with a full LED wall for 3D immersion, featuring excerpts from ballets like “Giselle” and “Don Quixote,” modern compositions, and traditional folk dances. The tour also includes a special appearance by the Ukrainian/Canadian folk dance group, Shumka. The National Ballet of Ukraine, upholding the highest standards, will bring 26 of its 150 dancers to the US.
