DESCRIPTION:If I Cry\, will continue to provoke audiences by reflecting on the life of the colorful\, dynamic\, and legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.  The inspiration for this work was gleaned from her diaries which revealed a torturous life of pain\, loss\, and adversity interwoven with her indomitable will to create works of art while suffusing her surroundings with an air of spontaneity\, joy\, and laughter.  Tampa City Ballet hopes to transport the audience through a surrealistic dance journey to the poignant and passionate emotional landscape of Frida’s remarkable life.
